As a former cadet, you must compete for an appointment along with other qualified candidates, you must also obtain a nomination. Admissions decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. Your candidacy may receive the attention of the Academy Board.
If reviewed by the board, your overall record as a cadet, including the reason for your disenrollment, your overall achievement since leaving the academy and the circumstances and reasons that have caused you to again seek admission will be carefully considered.
In all cases, your application will be weighed against the needs of the Air Force.
To be considered for reappointment, you must take all required examinations and submit all required documents in accordance with instructions found in the Advice to Former Cadets booklet. Read the entire booklet very carefully and keep it for reference.
